We would like to be placed near 8:45 with our front towards the Man
in playa center for solar reasons ,
but Please not too far from nor down wind or too close to the potties
for medical reasons of one of our camp mates . Last year a block away between
venus and mercury at 8:26 was fine for them. Thank you.

The Contraptionists camp will consist of a
main tent (28x30) with a sculpture and weather vane on it's peak and a
large shaded communal space and public sitting area open the Street and
private camp kitchen, dinning room to the rear, with a private shower to
one side and sculptures out front , with flanking service tents (10x20)
to the side of the main tent also facing the front and with more service
tents facing the rear street frontage for other offered public services
, with a bus and several large private shade tents (20x20+) for sleeping
tents with a courtyard in the center which will also be used as the home
base for various human powered art vehicles. a picture of the main tent
from last year can be found on our site at
http://www.Contraptionists.Com/bman04/pics/Img014.jpg
We plan on using both a solar voltaic power system for the general
lighting of the main tent and small quiet generators for the freezer for
the smoothie bar and limited use of 120 volt lighting, small stereo and
a sewing machine.
As a clean up plan we promote recycling and separating burn ables from
compost and will be cleaning camp as we go , those who pack it in will
pack it out and the last leaving will grid walk the area after the last
tents are down.
We are careful to relate to our virgins the need to keep the trash
off the ground in the first place.
